“General Admission” (sometimes shortened to “GA”) and “Standing Room Only” (sometimes shortened to “SRO”) are industry-standard terms for tickets that don’t have an assigned seat and may require you to stand during the event. These events may have a designated “GA” section, or may have no seating area at all.

Some tickets described as “General Admission” or “Standing Room Only” will display what appears to be a specific Row, but don’t worry—this won’t restrict where you can sit or stand within the section. Venues, teams, artists, and promoters that issue tickets usually assign all tickets with a Section, Row, and Seat Number for organizational and inventory-management purposes.
