“General Admission” (sometimes shortened to “GA”) and “Standing Room Only” (sometimes shortened to “SRO”) are industry-standard descriptions for tickets that do not have an assigned seat and may require you to stand during the event. Events for which GA tickets are issued may have designated General Admission sections or be entirely General Admission seating/standing room.

Some tickets described as “General Admission” or “Standing Room Only” will display what appears to be a specified Row. Don’t worry—this does not restrict where you can sit or stand within the section. Venues, teams, artists, and promoters that issue tickets usually assign all tickets with a Section, Row, and Seat Number for organizational and inventory-management purposes.
