Obstructed-view seating varies by venue and event. View obstructions may be permanent—caused by the architectural features of the venue—or temporary—caused by the unique set-up for a particular event.

If the box office, team, or performer issuing tickets believes a seat may be obstructed-view, they will label the ticket with a disclaimer—but will not, in most cases, identify the type of obstruction. As a result, any specific view-obstruction notes for a particular listing are based on the best judgement of the seller.
